UFC News, MMA News In rare cases we get to see two fighters face off who are all about power, ferocity. Causing real damage. What happens when you put two power-punchers in the cage together? Who wins? Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell is a retired legend of MMA who once ruled the cage as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion with a record of 21 and 9. Known for his brutality in the Octagon, as well as a wrestling background and a long history of street-fighting, Liddell made his name as a savage who would never back down from a brawl. Jan Blachowicz was born in Cieszyn, Poland, and much like Liddell was trained in fighting from a very early age, starting with judo at the age of nine and later muay thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and boxing. As it is with so many fighters, action movies formed much of the foundation for his early interest in combat sports. Blachowicz began his professional career in 2007, fighting mainly in Poland and around Europe with only occasional fights in the States. Early on he proved to be a promising talent, winning tournaments and European titles in his first few years, and seven years into his professional career he signed with the UFC as a light heavyweight.
